Our forum uses PHPBB. I like it and I don't think I'd switch to anything else.

Lots more members seem to think MyBB is better then most, due to a survey I saw on another forum.

Re: What Forum Software do you use?
I prefer softwares with adanced options, but is still easy to use.
A little like the AdminPanel, really easy, almost simple.
But too simple is just too default for me.

Re: What Forum Software do you use?
Converting and software installing messes with my Admin Panel, I think.
And it's rather difficult, I assume.

Re: What Forum Software do you use?
I don't have my own forum, But I am staff at a Proboards forum and a Phpbb forum. The proboards is very basic and easy, while the phpbb is more complex and looks nicer.

When I ran forums, I mostly used PHPBB. I used Suddenlaunch & Conforums in the past though.

I've always used MyBB. It's amazing, easy to install MODs and modify themes.

Suddenlaunch, eh? That brings me memories as a member of several. Though I never administrated any, but it doesn't seem much different to what proboard seemed to me until a few years ago.
I am currently using PHPBB2 in my forums, PHPBB3 in a Spanish Zelda site and Invision for a Spanish Promotion site. All under forumotion wing, of course.

Re: What Forum Software do you use?
I have used ProBoards, and phpBB. phpBB is way better. ProBoards is basic, but a good starter and relatively easy to customize. I prefer phpBB now and would always choose it over PB.

Re: What Forum Software do you use?
@Daisy No you can't make forumotion mybb, you can't move a forumotion forum at all. I would recommend to leave forumotion and start on a proper host or your taking a huge security risk with forumotion.
I use PhpBB and MyBB.
Internet Ace=MyBB
NONAMERELEASED=MyBB
Advertising Mania=Phpbb

You can't access the forumotion data base. Ask Austin01 of Forum Promotion for free conversion.Daisy wrote:Can I move the forum database?

The only way to get a database from forumotion is using underhanded methods.
