Topsites

If you run a forum do you submit it to a topsite, if so which ones do you submit to and why?

I have always submitted any forum I run to a topsite. I usually submit them to a top site that fits their category and the reason is simple, to get more traffic and new members.

I haven't had "great" results with them, but some results are better than none.

I don't really. But if I see a topsite in which you don't have to register with, and is free, I do.

How will you get your site noticed then as if you only use the same sites, your site will never get known.

I do, I usually hunt round for active metal ones though, They attract more interest than general topsites.

I've never heard of a Metal topsite. There can't be many of them.

There are quite a few, You just have to really look for them, The problem is finding active ones rather than finding metal topsites.

There can't be too many still, active ones anyway? I can only see about three or four on Google.

There are some, sometimes you have to look beyond the metal tag and beyond google. I'm not a fan of google :p

I only use one if I think it will help me gain activity and I got a shot for the top. Otherwise they are useless.

They help gain a little traffic. I sometimes click on other links

It's hare to find active ones. I used to submit to them all the time.

There's one called 'Forum Topsite'. It has really good forums at the top though- really hard competition.
