What are you views on Admins who constantly mass email their members, with stupid lines like " where are you" "please come back"

Yuck- I hate those type of admins! Have come across a few.
I usually mass email my users every 1-2 weeks daily, but with interesting news, and ads at the bottom, optional to read. It's usually fairly big.

I can't stand that, And I know how much mass emails annoy members. I used to send them regulary, I received alot of complaints from members.
Now I only mass email if something big is happening.
I am looking to do a monthly or quarterly newsletter too.

Hmmm. I think I better add a poll on to decide how many emails we are sending out.

It's kinda hard to clean a email with there are lots of spam and usefulness message.

Mass Emailing can get quite annoying. I usually just delete the email and never visit that forum again. In the likely situation that they were to email me nonstop I would demand my account being deleted.

I hate getting emails from forums in general, and usually always opt to not receive updates. I find it sad when a forum Admin reverts to spamming member's personal email just for kicks and giggles.
