Who are you hosted with?

I am with Pluto Hosting at the moment. I was going to use SMF for Free but a guy who I worked with in the very beginning said I could use his host, as long as I linked back to them. I trusted him as I worked with him once before when I was on advanced hosting before, so I jumped at the opportunity and we've been going good ever since.

That's very nice, I'd jump at the chance too.
I use forum hosts like forumotion now, because it has more options, it's more advanced, and it's really the only forum with default point currency systems.

HOST4POST.com is the best host i've ever been on. I recommend you try it.

If you've had a old host with them, then it's been deleted.

I have a VPS with dmehosting.

Free webhostingfox looks ok, but it requires bank details, and has a long domain name.

Webhostingfox can be cheated through XD I mean, you can enter 0-q34-9i8sdjioj whatever you want for bank details, I used Webhostingfox.

I've just heard on AdvertiseHighWay that Forumotion can take over your forum if it gets popular, and can use the members details? Is that true?

It'd be illegal, but yeah, probably. If they have access to the database, I'm pretty sure they could. They'd hopefully never do it though.

I am hosted with Empire Hostings. It is fast, cheap and easy to get support. I love it!

I had a look, looks okay. Unlimited storage and 24/7 emails look okay.

Excelled Hosting. I've done an phpBB3 installation, as apposed to using FM.

I wish I could pay for a real host, but I'm trying to get a paid domain name first.

Currently working on a FM forum. Its easy to use although I didn't think about template editing before I had got attached to the theme.

Excelled Hostings Free plan is more than enough for a phpBB3 forum this size.

Ditto for Web Hosting Fox.

I ust don't like the fact it will change the skin and styles.

Forumotion is ok, except for the annoying 'Free Forum' thing.
And you can't donate points (normal users).

It annoys the fact that I can't separate moderating areas from moderating profiles, otherwise I could make local moderators manipulate threads while global moderators can edit profile information and issue bans if necessary.

That's a good idea. Yes, Forumotion is certainly the best forum host (for me), but not the best it can be.
Still, it's free. But my forum isn't free, I'm paying for a domain, so Free Forum: Fudge is NOT helping! :x

The only thing I'm worried about is the fact it might get rid of the domain name- I paid Forumotion for it. :x Even though it still states this forum is free, it isn't.

oh god, you should never buy a domain with forumotion lol do they offer possibilties to change the nameservers? i could also setup ftp so you can access all your files and install/edit anything you want and also put your own ads up hehe.

I can do it, but only after a month. I might transfer soon, and buy another one.

And allowing you to keep the database (don't care about the domain).

I am not sure I use cpanel and am hosted with my brother. He helps cover the hosting costs for me.

I'm with Webhostingfox. I have heard some bad things about them -- but I haven't experienced anything bad in my week of using them.

I heard James/The Dream uses it- the host is okay. The forum overall looks simple enough.

I use that too. I love how quick support is and have no problems with the server load or anything.

I use iPage. They're quite slow though which I've found annoying recently. For free I use ByetHost.
