The egg or the chicken?

This is a pretty random topic, but which came first? The egg or the chicken?
I think if two different species of animals were combined, they would make a chicken, but maybe a bird laid a different egg by accident.

D'uh, the egg. Eggs existed way before chickens were around... Just kidding, I know the question means chicken eggs.

It is interesting how you can't give a conclusive answer even if it sounds conclusive at the moment.

I go by the Chicken. I rather think something slowly changed to adapt its shape into what we call a chicken that accidentally a chicken was born out of a egg and its genes persisted afterwards in new eggs without some sort of modifications.

That sounds about right.
I used to think the chicken too, the egg possibly not.
What do you think the chicken originally looked like?
Maybe something like a normal bird.

I think it was the Egg, but then again i dont know .. I think now though its definately the Chicken.

I know- you can find good reasons why both could be possible.
The chicken could be a mixed species, the genes mixed up to create a chicken, or a strange egg laid by a normal bird.

Egg, the chicken evolved from a dinosaur (can't remember which one), and things don't evolve after they are born, they evlove before they are, simple logic.

Not the chicken first came from the egg bit, but the first human evolved before it was born, not after, and it did evolve from a feathered dinosaur.

But then again I can argue the other side becasue if the chicken comes from the egg couldn't the egg have come first and the chicken was born from it....

The chicken could be a result of two breeds. A little like the african bees and normal bees = killer bees.

Well the current theory was giant meteor....

Weren't dinosaurs all over the world though? How big could it be? There should at least be evidence.

The supposed meteor was about 6 miles in diameter....thats 9.656064 kilometers. So that is pretty big....we watched about it in astronomy...

Well with that big of a metor it kicked up a lot of dirt and what not. Causing the sun to get blocked out in most areas....or so I think...

actually the Chicken evolved so it came first

the meteor (if it's true) did not destroy everything though, there are to ways to proove that.
1] We won't be here if it did
2] Crocodiles and Aligators were around back in those days too.

Hello i'm a Creationist so I don't believe in the theory of Evolution, It was proved a while ago now that the Chicken did come before the egg.

And about Dinosaurs I would suggest that they drowned with the Great Flood, but on that i'm open to discussion.

Definately the egg for me. I think it was created by a micro-organism which then hatched into a chicken.

personally l believe that an organism grew into a creature which was the basic form of a bird but not exactly a chicken which layed an egg and slowly over billions of years developed into the chicken.

but thinking in the contemporaneous chicken...

did it came out of an egg as the ones we know today?

or it grew to become the chicken we know today and then laid an egg that preserved said change?
